How to solve Jaltest Error 004

How to Troubleshoot Jaltest 004 Errors in 2025

Follow the steps below to fix the Jaltest 004 communication error:

  1. First, take the time to consider your area’s power supply. The connection can fail in insufficient power conditions. Your power supply needs to support the control unit and the device.

  2. Assess the connection between Jaltest link and the control unit. Ensure that you are using the correct connection cable.

  3. Check for damage on the communication line and wires on the diagnosis socket. Any damage can compromise the connection. If you notice signs of damage, please contact Jaltest technical support or your distributor as soon as possible.

  4. Check to make sure the system you selected matches the system installed on the vehicle.

  5. If none of the above steps have solved the issue, trying connecting while the engine is running. Some control units only get power when the engine is on. In the future, see if you can put the engine in service mode to prevent this issue.
